'Tea and Cake' Campaign

Most of us lead such busy lives that we do not have much time to make a big difference. However, most groups are good at putting the kettle on and getting out the juice and biscuits – so why not do what we do best!

That is why TOC H is launching the ‘Tea and Cake'; initiative. This simple device provides the opportunity to invite another religious or minority group for refreshments.

It makes a statement that we are interested in healing destructive divisions and sharing in the goodness of our common humanity.

This campaign is about offering a gesture of friendship! It is about engendering goodwill and sharing time together.

How do we take action?

Firstly - Talk about the campaign. Get the support of the members of your local group!

Secondly - Contact Madeleine Fone on 01296 642020 or at info@toch.org.uk to discuss how we can assist you to hold an event.

Thirdly - Speak to and meet with the representative of the other group as soon as appropriate to make the initial invitation.
