| Visitors to Toc H campsite in Adlington, Cheshire next year can look forward to a wealth of new activities and improved facilities thanks to funding secured by Wendy Robertson, Toc H regional development officer. An award of £4000 from the Gannett Foundation and £1000 received the Local Funding Network will provide an activity fitness trail and team building area at the campsite. Adlington also received funding this year to buy 15 mountain bikes and a 20ft storage container. The campsite has two dormitory blocks sleeping up to 16 people as well as plenty of space for camping and a large day hut with a kitchen area. A new toilet and shower block with disabled facilities has also been built recently. “This funding is wonderful news,” said Wendy. “The activity trail will give guests a challenge during their stay and with the Middlewood Way – formerly a railway track which has been turned into a nature treasure trail - just 20 minutes cycle ride away, the mountain bikes will be a real asset.” | ![]() |
