Official Opening for Blacon21 Dec 2006 |

| Blacon Children's Centre in Cheshire, which houses the new Toc H Brighter Beginnings nursery, welcomed local councillors, MPs, children and their parents to its official opening last Friday, 15th December 2006. Christine Russell, MP for the City of Chester, said: “Blacon Children's Centre is a long-awaited and much needed facility in this area and I am delighted to be part of the official opening ceremony.” The centre which offers services for families and children such as speech and language therapy, family support and midwifery opened in September 2006. Toc H Brighter Beginnings provides top quality, affordable child care for babies and pre-school children. With state-of-the-art facilities and modern open plan rooms, the nursery offers an environment where children can be stimulated and engaged in a range of activities to challenge and extend their learning in a happy and secure environment. After the official ‘cutting of the ribbon' facilitated by Neville Price, County Councillor for Sandbach, and Joan Feenan, Director of Children's Services at Cheshire County Council, guests were invited to have a look at the amenities, enjoy light refreshments and children had a visit to Santa who presented each with a small gift. | ![]() |
